Medical, Sports and Education Volunteers
This summer the Sports Ambassadors League Training ( S.A.L.T.) Foundation in partnership with i am Voluntourism, will be conducting their grass rooots, cross cultural soccer, and medical missions in Trelawny, Jamaica. We will be providing college prep, training, tutoring and mentorship for 50 well deserving student athletes in Jamaica.
We are raising funds to help offset camps fees, medical supplies, food, accomodation and travel expenses. Help our medical team and our Sports Ambassadors as they reach out through sports, education and health to 'break the cycle of poverty' and empower under served students and athletes from low income, rural and remote communities in Jamaica.
S.A.L.T. Jordan Haynes
My name is Jordan Haynes and I am blessed with an opportunity to visit the country of my mother's birth (Jamaica) to help and teach children to play soccer.
I am trying to raise funds so that I can be a part of the rewarding experience of playing the sport that I love with other people in a different place and help me learn about culture in another country.
It is important that we all help others so that we all become better people. With your support, I will be a part of this wonderful and enriching experience.
S.A.L.T. Emily Smith
I have a passion for soccer and a desire to "give forward" and share my love of the game. I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel with Sports Ambassadors League Training (S.A.L.T.) to Jamaica, this summer, for 2 weeks, where I will be able to pour into the lives of other athletes. I will be serving as a mentor, trainer, and teammate at soccer clinics and camps to help open doors for young Jamaican athletes to further their education and soccer training here in the United States. Yet, I recognize I will also grow as I serve. Thank you in advance for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity. I am looking forward to letting you know about the lives I get to positively impact and how they transform me.
My name is Maiya and I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 yrs old. This year I have been offered an exciting opportunity to go to Jamaica in June as a Sports Ambassador to give back to another community. As part of our Sports and Education Outreach I will mentor, teach and help educate others in a sport that I love while also learning, training and educating myself of other cultures as well. I love the idea of giving forward what I have been so fortunate to be blessed with. Every little bit can help and is greatly appreciated in making this dream possible for me. Thank you, Maiya.
S.A.L.T. Alex Taylor
Hi! My name is Alex Taylor and my passion is playing soccer. I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 And learn to love it more every time I step onto the field. I also have a passion to help kids. Ever since I was about 11 I deceided that if I ever got the chance to travel and help kids in need, I would. Recently, I have been offered an oppurtunity that combines the two: an exciting opportunity to go to Jamaica in June where I get the chance to give back to another community. However, as part of the program I will teach and help educate others in soccer while also learning about the Jamaican culture. I have been raised in a household where giving back to your community is very important and the fact that I can use my talent to do so is an honest blessing. Every donation, no matter how much, can make a difference. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Alex Taylor.
