Volunteers are needed in Jamaica to work on Sustainable Building Projects that includes the construction of cabins and centers for volunteers that supports sports, education, research, training, and workforce development in under-served communities around Jamaica.
While many other spring breakers and summer vacationers may go to Jamaica to idle away their days at a resort, on our Care projects you can instead offer some of your time to improve the lives of local Jamaican children living in remote, underserved tourism communities.
Cross-cultural exchange in both casual and formal learning environments is encouraged and creative input is welcomed and facilitated.
If you are a Health/ Exercise Science, Education, Early Childhood Development or Social Work student or instructor you will enjoy participating in this community-based Care program that provides direct interaction with local Jamaicans. Previous child care experience is not essential, just a caring heart for children.
No visit to Jamaica would be complete without a trip to the beach or its beautiful tropical forests.
Provide professional care for the well elderly and gain valuable hands on experience and practical healthcare knowledge from experienced professional nurses, doctors, and practitioners in Geriatric Care. Be a part of the wellness revolution for the elderly by volunteering at elderly centers and community health and wellness events.
Ideal for student and practicing nurses, medical students, doctors and alternative medicine practitioners. Give the 'gift of wellness' and gain access to one of Jamaica's most valuable assets, its seniors.
Elderly centers are located in Kingston, Manderville and Ocho Rios.
Participate in projects that involve fixing up homes for seniors, building homes for single mothers, painting a community center, creating murals, fixing up a school, and or sharing organic farming practices.
If you are a carpenter, plumber, mason, librarian, coach, environmental researcher, retired, active or student nurse, you will enjoy participating in these community-based Care projects and 'give forward' the gift of Care.
We invite environmental specialists, researchers, clubs and building organizations to help us understand, tackle and reverse some of the hazardous environmental and development trends affecting our communities.
Be a part of a real Jamaican experience while making a positive impact!
