Study Abroad

The Study Abroad Service-Learning Program (SAS Learning) is a multidisciplinary approach, short-term, faculty-led, study-abroad opportunity that centers on meeting the educational needs and expectations of students and athletes in the twenty-first century through the framework of active global community engagement.

The SAS-Learning Program is designed to help College and University professors design service-learning study abroad experiences that provide students, with or without a background in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Sports Psychology, Social Welfare, Early Childhood Education, Journalism, Economics, African, American and Caribbean Studies, an opportunity to develop a present day perspective of the sociological, economic and political realities faced by Jamaica and her people.

S.A.L.T. Sustainable Environmental And Renewable Energy Outreach

In this cross cultural, multi-disciplinary approach, we provide local and international pre-collegiate students the ultimate global study abroad opportunity.

This co-learning atmosphere allows both students and athletes, local and international, to conduct research, gather data, and engage the social, environmental and economic issues around renewable energy and environmental conservation in the Caribbean region.

We restore natural vegetation, plant mangroves to protect the coastal areas and travel to the Blue Mountain ranges to support conservation efforts of the rain forests.

Join us this summer and help us create a sustainable environmental conservation and renewable energy plan for Jamaica!
